Today held special significance for the Laurel Education Trust as both of our schools, Mill Mead Primary School and Simon Balle All-through School, came together as one community to mark Remembrance Day.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our entire Trust and school communities – students, staff, governors, and trustees – for coming together in such a moving and respectful way for today’s remembrance ceremonies. The sense of unity and discipline shown throughout was deeply poignant. The thoughtful readings and beautiful music created a powerful atmosphere of reflection and gratitude, reminding us all of the importance of remembrance and community. We hope the messages of hope and peace resonated with everyone who took part.

Thank you to all who contributed and participated so meaningfully in the traditions of remembrance – from the laying of wreaths, to the Last Post, to the silence we honoured together. We are deeply proud of every student, and remain privileged and humbled to lead this special community – united as one Trust, standing together in remembrance for the first time today.
